From the very beginning, our focus has been on fueling growth in the communities in which we build.
It all started in 1989, when Robert Watson and his wife Virginia moved to Redmond, a small town of 3,700 in rural Central Oregon. Armed with years of experience in both land development and real estate finance, Bob quickly became an active member of the community. It wasn’t long before the Mayor of Redmond approached Bob about building homes that hardworking families could afford to foster growth in this small city; Hayden Homes was born. A few years later, after graduating from college, Bob’s son Hayden Watson and Hayden’s high school friend Dennis Murphy joined him as apprentices. Working, side by side with Bob to learn the business eventually led these two men to earn the primary leadership positions in the company. Today, we honor Bob and Virginia’s spirit of generosity through our actions and belief that giving more than you get should be the norm.
Hayden Homes exists to Give As You Go™, so together we build a strong community, and lead fulfilled lives. This mission is rooted in this concept: if we approach everything we do with a spirit of generosity, we can build fulfillment for our homeowners, team members, the communities in which we build and the entire Northwest.
It is not by luck that Hayden Homes Team Members may be the most generous group of people you will ever meet. The secret is hiring people who believe that fulfilling lives starts with the spirit of giving. This spirit determines everything from the quality of our work to the way we act as a company.
As a company and as individuals, we are improving the lives of others. We are committed to make our corner of the world a better place.
