Benefits & Compensation Analyst

Central City Concern is hiring a Compensation & Benefits Analyst to join our team!

The Compensation and Benefits Analyst is key in supporting the Total Rewards team in assessing and analyzing base pay trends and total compensation effectiveness for our business partners, and developing supporting consulting materials by considering business needs, employee insights, and market trends.


  • Benchmark jobs against salary data and other market tools to determine competitive compensation for each role.
  • Review and ensure compliance within compensation guidelines. Ensure pay equity is reviewed and maintained across all levels.
  • Review current union Collective Bargaining Agreement to ensure all union employee wages are within compliance.
  • Partner with finance to forecast salary and headcount data.
  • Research and review inquiries into salary discrepancies.
  • Assist in continual market analysis process review and partner with Talent Management to price roles and conduct offer requests.
  • Assess jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt under FLSA guidelines.
  • Produce dashboards, drive program efficiency metrics, and develop measurable insights, recommendations, and innovations.
  • Run reports and process updates related to HR Metrics/SLA’s dashboard.
  • Participate and support in annual compensation projects to include but not limited to, annual salary administration, creation of adjustment letters and total rewards statements.
  • Participate in the writing and editing of job descriptions.
  • Partner with the Benefits Lead on key Total Rewards program initiatives for the health & welfare (medical, dental, vision, life & disability) and perk programs.
  • Support benefit plan renewal activity and benefit plan open enrollment with tasks and communications.
  • Support benefit compliance activities such as audits, 5500s, plan documents SPDs and amendments.
  • Complete all benefit bills with reconciliations.
  • Assists Total Rewards Program Leaders with compensation and benefits surveys.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the use of vlookups, pivot tables and advanced formulas
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks requiring strong attention-to-detail.
  • Can positively engage while working closely with cross-functional teams.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 3+ years of related employee compensation and benefits experience.
  • 2+ years of UKG experience preferred.
  • Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others at all levels of an organization.
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving benefits and Oregon Pay Equity Act; including ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, DOL.
  • Initiative to improve processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, Tuberculosis (TB) test, and background check.
  • Must adhere to agency’s non-discrimination policies.
