Director of Human Resources

We seek an experienced, organized, and capable human resources or recruiting leader to be our next Director of Human Resources. This role is responsible for providing the full spectrum of HR services to the organization, including recruiting, onboarding, retention, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and HR information technology. This is an exciting role, with the opportunity to build the organization’s HR infrastructure and set forth effective and sensible HR practices that will best serve its employees.

This position reports to the Executive Director and serves as a member of the management team. The new Director of Human Resources will be able to hire a vacant Human Resources Coordinator position, which will help in the development of the department’s workplan and assist with its implementation. The HR team will work from the CRITFC offices in NE Portland and will include periodic travel to visit the organization’s offices located in Oregon and Idaho and off-site commission meetings hosted by our member tribes.

We seek candidates who have at least seven years’ experience in HR or recruiting and who have experience managing direct reports. Knowledge of tribal employment law is not required, and training can be provided.
