Salary:

  • Leaves Associate II: $67,645 – $80,771 per year.
  • Leaves Associate III: $76,534 – $91,385 per year.

This position is hybrid-eligible.
Portland Public Schools is actively seeking a Leaves Associate for our Leave of Absence Department. The associate must be knowledgeable and experienced in administering the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)/Oregon Family Medical Leave Act (OFLA) and/or the Americans with Disability Act (ADA). Duties include processing weekly reports, updating PeopleSoft HRMS, eligibility determination, administration of pay and benefits and responding to a high volume of inquiries and requests. For ADA administration, this position leads, facilitates and guides the interactive process for accommodation and leave requests.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Leaves Associate II
      • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, psychology, sociology, law, or a related field.
      • 1 year of experience specific to employee benefits programs in a high volume, quick turnaround environment.
  • Leaves Associate III
    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, psychology, sociology, law, or a related field.
    • 3 years of experience performing the full-spectrum of employee benefits activities, including advising employees on confidential and sensitive issues related to employee benefits programs.

Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is considered a minimum qualification requirement for PPS job applicants and this proof will be requested during the hiring process.
