HR Coordinator Intern

Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client in SW Portland to identify a HR Coordinator Intern for a temporary role. In this on-site role, you will join the Human Resources team and own recruitment efforts for open roles. This role is perfect for candidates looking for internship opportunities and candidates who are newer in their HR career and looking for growth.

The role at a glance: 

  • Owns relationship with hiring managers and HR; takes a consultative approach to sourcing and setting strategy in order to identify top talent for current and future needs
  • Leads intake meetings with hiring managers to identify requirements of the role, as well as the individualized needs of the departments and hiring managers
  • Sources potential and passive candidates through social media, direct outreach, and relationship building
  • Networks and maintains relationships with key talent communities for active and passive opportunities
  • Manages correspondence and relationships with identified universities to support the corporate college program
  • Interviews and evaluates candidates in a timely manner while always providing a positive candidate experience
  • Screens applicants, conducts phone screens, and makes in person interview recommendations to hiring managers
  • Extends offers within approval and set guidelines, coordinating the candidates background check and drug screen
  • Schedules and hosts new hire orientations weekly
  • Ensures candidate tracking is up to date and compliant in ATS (Ultipro/UKG) and maintains HRIS database, including onboarding new hires in the system
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Your strengths and experience: 

  • 1-3 years of entry-level HR experience
  • Recruiting/sourcing experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong relationships with others
  • Strong word processing and Windows software skills required.
