The HRIS Director is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and directing HRIS and HR system upgrades, for evaluating and recommending business process improvements, and for applying functional expertise in the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of the HRIS and other enterprise applications. This position develops and maintains customized and complex reports, dashboards, and analytics. Additionally, the HRIS Director leads the HRIS team and recommends and manages project priorities for the department, acts as a liaison between functional and technical groups to implement solutions and projects, and researches and recommends solutions to system issues.
The HRIS Director reports to the Associate Vice President for HR and provides technical support to end users including Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Employment, Leaves, Employee Relations, and all campus HRIS related functional users. This position works with functional users to evaluate systems, business processes, reporting needs, and automation requirements and plans, manages, reviews, and tracks HR projects. The HRIS Director must maintain a thorough understanding of HR business processes and functions.
