HRIS, Leaves & Benefits Specialist – EPCA Partner

Primary Responsibilities:
Serves as primary HRIS contact; participates in HR audits on HRIS, payroll, and benefits data.
Administer/Track Leaves (FMLA/OFLA, Workers Comp, etc.)
Interpret policies and procedures, providing guidance to managers and employees
Manages full-cycle recruitment process, partnering with hiring managers, including job postings, candidate screenings, interviewing, progress reporting, and orientation.
Works to increase effectiveness and efficiency of HR by providing guidance to all staff, regarding front-line employee relations, performance management, benefits administration.  Identify, design and implement processing efficiencies as needed.
In collaboration with P&C team, embeds equity initiatives through all HR processes and will support staff and managers in helping them access and utilize these processes.
Leads culture committees to enhance employee engagement.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills and experiences of the ideal candidate:
Minimum of three years of demonstrated success in a Human Resources role; preferable experience in HRIS, benefits administration, recruitment, employee relations and non-profit management; HR certification a plus.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of employment law and HR best practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and identify HR solutions with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, payroll, HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in a language other than English, bi-lingual and bi-cultural skills strongly preferred.
Commitment to continued professional development to strengthen capacity to work through an equity lens for social justice.

The Fine Print:
Work is performed in an office environment while sitting at a computer screen for extended periods. Periodically walk throughout facility (warehouse and office) to communicate with staff and check on the status of projects. May lift, move and carry objects from 20 to 40 pounds, such as boxes containing office and other supplies. Crouching, bending, kneeling and reaching when filing. Work outside normal working hours and occasionally drive vehicle for various projects.
