Regional Mobility Specialist

General Purpose:

The Regional Mobility Specialist works with the Business, Mobility vendors and P&C as well as the other Regional Mobility Specialists to ensure that the global mobility processes, policies and strategies are effectively followed and implemented within their assigned region

Responsibilities:

  • Mobility manages international Long- and Short-term Assignments, Graduates, Temporary Project Assignments and Local Foreign Hires as well as immigration, taxation / shadow payroll, local registration and social security.
  • Ability to pro-actively encourage innovation, translate global requirements into local ones without compromising the global mobility policies and governance
  • Ensure that the Global Mobility delivery from our collaboration partners within the region is timely, cost effective, and of high quality.
  • Be one-point-of-contact between the organization and mobility matters; both at a strategic as well as an operational level
  • Be the regional owner of the Global Mobility strategy
  • Implement and promote mobility in your region based on the governance and structure to be fully aligned globally in order to secure high-standard execution towards the business
  • Be involved in global, local and regional projects, evaluations and continuous improvement of processes within Global Mobility, both in current but also in emerging markets
  • Be a Strategic Partner to Business and P&C and ensuring there is a solid strategy in place and global alignment for all groups of travelling employees
  • Own and develop stakeholder relationships with vendors, provide global mobility counsel and guidance to effectively deliver the most optimal solutions for the workforce plan with stakeholders internally in Vestas
  • In alignment and together with the global team, proactively develop and assist in building the global and thereby regional mobility strategies, processes and programs to drive mobility effectively across borders together with the business and local/regional People & Culture Vendor Management
  • Direct accountability for all cross boarders regionally, ensuring compliance with the policies and processes both across the business and across the mobility set-up
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Global Mobility matters and viewed as the go-to person in the region and coordinate with sub-regional leads
  • Use Global Mobility reporting and analytics to monitor and audit performance levels and promote strategy
  • Track and monitor Global Mobility costs regionally to ensure optimized utilization accordingly of resources
  • Process taxation payments related to mobility

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3 years proven experience within Global Mobility and with Global Mobility tools. If you have worked in a large, international company and including experience from working with and within a matrix structure.
  • Solid understanding of all areas within mobility and the risks in relation hereto
  • Office/Technical skills and experience including Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Good English skills, both oral and written, is required
  • Experience with encouraging innovation and influencing stakeholders
  • Good networking and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate to different organizational levels, be proactive and understand different kind of employee groups.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement capabilities and you are proactive and independent in your work approach.
  • Travel internationally up to once or twice per year
