Sr. HR Business Partner

 

The People & Culture department is responsible for coordinating HR processes, programs and initiatives in the areas of employee relations, immigration, workforce planning, performance management, retention strategies and succession planning to ensure seamless delivery and execution to managers and the organization. Delivers strategic and tactical support to assigned client groups through the alignment of HR initiatives to strategic business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a skilled and highly motivated staff of HR business partners to consistently achieve business goals (company, business, segment and regional).
  • Motivate organization and skill review, planning and actions that build organization capability required to achieve business strategy.
  • In collaboration with key HR centers of expertise, build and motivate flexible TA and retention strategies for innovative and high-demand roles including driving strategies to source and retain diverse skill sets.
  • Build bench proficiency and effective succession planning by consulting on selection, onboarding, engagement, development, movement/rotation, performance assessment, pay and rewards/recognition in support of business strategy execution.
  • Establish and monitor organization and metrics aligned to business strategy targeted leadership development/coaching that aligns behavior with leadership expectations and propels business outcomes.
  • Provide insight on enterprise candidate strategy, including assessment of executive gaps that focuses on succession planning, enterprise mobility and diversity.
  • Establish HR practices within assigned business unit(s). Provide input and materials for executive management.
  • Leverage best practices, external HR, and industry trends to inform consultative approach.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Expertise, HR Consulting and Shared Services in the development, implementation, measurement, and evaluation of broad-based HR initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in coaching and influencing senior executives.
  • Experience with supervising a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational design/development and change management
  • Demonstrated ability to use HR experience and business knowledge to motivate achievement of business goals
  • Demonstrated ability to consult using HR Standards of Practice and experience in multiple HR functions
  • People retention/development experience
  • 10+ years strategic human resources consulting experience with demonstrated expertise influencing the business strategy and shaping the HR strategic direction.

Competencies

  • Minimum of BA/BS degree with at least 10 years of related HR / OD experience or the equivalent experience. Masters’ degree preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, GPHR Certification preferred.
  • Must have ability to understand and develop effective HR and OD strategies while understanding the implications from a culture, business success, company practice and legal standpoint
  • Skilled oral and written communication skills including confidentiality, interpersonal skills, presentation skills and an ability to use a variety of communication tools. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, especially senior managers and other key decisions makers
  • Ability to be enthusiastic, navigate the enterprise to coordinate a variety of short and long-term strategies and tactics with varying priorities.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain great working relationship with all internal contacts/coworkers.
  • Solid organizational skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to prioritize many tasks and complete tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
