Talent Sourcer

The Talent Sourcer is responsible for proactively identifying physician candidates by using multiple strategies to build a pipeline of candidates for positions throughout the Northwest Permanente (NWP) service area.

Major Responsibilities / Essential Functions

Outreach Liaison

  • Supports sustainable relationships with regional medical residency programs to secure a potential candidate pool for NWP
  • Develops in partnership with the NWP Graduate Medical Education Department, opportunities for area medical students to shadow and develop mentoring relationships with NWP physicians
  • Coordinates and manages NWP presence at recruiting events such as local and state AAFP and ACP meetings, national association meetings, Career MD events, etc
  • Coordinates networking events for practicing community/regional physicians and NWP physicians and writes occasional blogs for NWP recruiting website

Talent Sourcer

  • Develop and support an outbound recruitment strategy to support the growth of critical talent pipelines for identified key positions in partnership with the Sr. Manager of Talent Acquisition, Sr. Recruitment and Marketing Consultant and Talent Acquisition Team
  • Build talent communities and pipelines that meet current and future talent needs of NWP utilizing a robust sourcing strategy that is creative, innovative and leverages current industry best practices
  • Maintains competitive intelligence on recruiting and hiring efforts of other healthcare organizations in the region.
  • Utilizes advanced search techniques including Boolean search on internet portals, social media, LinkedIn, job boards, participation in networking events, contact lists, referrals, blogs, and industry directories etc. to uncover high quality talent pools
  • Researches and recommends new sources for active and passive candidate identification
  • Coordinates and executes effective marketing campaigns to prospective candidate pools including initiating email blasts and postings to online social media sites to distribute NWP recruitment information
  • Cold calls prospective candidates to propose potential job opportunities
  • Generates names, emails, phone numbers and all necessary contact information and accurately record, update, and maintain in a timely manner
  • Maintains ongoing, regular contact with future candidates and transfer contact information of potential candidates to the appropriate physician recruiter
  • Provides insight to the recruiting team on research/sourcing industry trends, tools and strategies

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or closely related field or equivalent education and experience

Minimum Work Experience

  • One (1) year experience in marketing/advertising utilizing social media, sourcing strategies and/or recruiting

Additional Requirements

  • Experience in online sourcing sites including job posting and social media sites
  • Excellent understanding of the newest and most successful sourcing/research strategies
  • Self-starter with excellent written communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem solving skills, and ability to multitask and produce high volume pipelines under tight deadlines
  • Strong presentation skills necessary
  • Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully
  • Excellent overall technology skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Excellent customer service
  • Domestic travel required

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or closely related field
  • Extensive knowledge of recruitment principles and processes and credentialing/hiring standards for health care professionals or other executive/professional groups
  • Strong understanding of discrimination law in employment

Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications

  • Three (3) years experience in healthcare setting
  • Experience with high-volume sourcing for a search firm or in-house recruiting team
