US HR Manager

The U.S. Human Resources Manager is a vital part of the human resources team reporting to the Director of Human Resources. The HR Manager will be hands on in managing and performing daily HR operations including but not limited to recruiting, on-boarding/off-boarding, benefit administration, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) administration, employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and managing the HR staff. The position may be performed remotely from home or onsite in headquarters in Tualatin, OR.


U.S. Human Resources Manager Job Duties:

  • Manage and perform daily operations within the U.S. HR department including but not limited to recruiting, on-boarding/off-boarding, benefit administration, HRIS administration, employee relations & training, performance management, disciplinary actions, and managing the HR staff
  • Act as the U.S. HR business partner to ensure legal compliance for DOL, EEOC, AA by training, coaching and working with hiring managers across all departments
  • Assist managers with company policy enforcement, job descriptions, interview processes and legal compliance
  • Manage and perform employee relations by assisting employees with benefit questions, support with ADP Workforce Now HRIS systems, time & attendance, paid time off requests, etc.
  • Work closely with the accounting department on employee payroll and various compensation matters
  • Manage U.S. HR staff and daily operation processes and workflow
  • Assist the Director of HR with various projects to support the company’s growth targets
  • Interact with the peer HR Manager in the Shenzhen China office

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience managing HR professionals and daily operations in an electronic manufacturing company environment
  • Familiarity with legal compliance and processes to support compliance
  • Ability to perform employee relations in sensitive situations by maintaining professionalism and employee confidentiality
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change in a growing company environment
  • Proven experience in ADP Workforce Now HRIS systems and system administration
  • Proficient in MS Office suite including Excel
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently in a home office
  • Ability to work and perform well within a team
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with all levels and geographic locations of employees
  • Ability to travel or be onsite in Tualatin, OR as needed

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Work involves long duration of sitting at a computer and lifting up to 20 pounds
  • Requires the ability to distinguish color
  • Travel domestically by auto as needed
  • Home and office environment
