The Workday HCM Analyst is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the organization’s Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system, as well as other HR related technology. This role will focus on improving the efficiency of our HR organization through the use of technology and business processes.
- Responsible for the administration and maintenance, of HR related systems, including Workday. Establish and maintain user access, security roles and permissions.
- Lead, manage and support key technical initiatives to deploy Workday functionality (employee self-service, mobile app, manager self-service, performance management, new hire onboarding, benefit open enrollment, absence management, salary planning, etc) as well as initiatives related to other HR related systems.
- Configure, test, and deploy Workday solutions to optimize business processes in assigned functional area(s).
- Serve as a technical resource for future Workday implementations or enhancements.
- Maintain and manage business process, security, and integration administration. Act as a point of contact for users to research, troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Create business process documents, process flows, and decision-making documents.
- Build, test and deploy various integrations including EIBs, benefit, payroll, IS and Finance, etc. related integrations.
- Develop and maintain processes to ensure integrity of data throughout the organization by running reports, auditing, analyzing information and troubleshooting errors.
- Work closely with the HR team to understand business processes, goals, and gaps to implement solutions that address the business’ needs; troubleshoot complex system/user issues to drive resolution and determine root cause, conduct workflow analysis and streamline processes.
- Create, maintain, deliver, and support a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards for HR and internal leadership.
- Provide end user support and facilitate training for employees, managers, and GP&C team members. Assist with the development and maintenance of Workday training materials and standard operating procedures.
- Develop and maintain HR SharePoint sites and primary resource for SharePoint information architecture.
- Assist and support HR initiatives and special projects.
Job Requirements
- Generally, requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business or other related discipline along with 3-5 years’ experience with Human Resources Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior Workday experience required.
- Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions.
- Ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze issues.
- Must have strong attention to detail and ability to handle data with confidentiality.
- Experience capturing requirements and documenting business processes
- Knowledge of Human Resources practices; benefits, compensation, recruiting, performance management, etc.
- Ability to manage time and resources effectively to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility and willingness to scale from tactical to strategic.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a wide variety of organizational members.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SharePoint and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting
- Experience with HR implementations / enhancements preferred
