With more and more employers hiring individuals with criminal backgrounds, there is growing interest in considering how employers can enhance the success of their second chance hiring and retention efforts. In this Think Tank we will explore the potential role of second chance training, in particular for incarcerated individuals, in expanding opportunities for employing individuals with criminal backgrounds. We will consider the experience of other organizations in the United States and in Europe that have created second chance training initiatives in partnership with criminal justice systems.
